George Ogbonnaya is a Senior Vice President and Divisional Head of Business Banking at First City Monument Bank Limited. He is a Fellow of the Institute of Credit Administration and a Senior Honourable Member of the Chartered Institute of Bankers of Nigeria. He holds a B.Sc. in Computer Science and a MBA, and is a Certified Coach in Game Thinking, with over 25 years of experience in banking, including SME & Commercial Banking, Credit Sales, Retail Banking, Product Development, and Electronic Banking.

George drives growth in the SME segment and develops new products and funding solutions. He leads the Bank’s strategic goals in emerging sectors such as renewable energy, women in business, healthcare, and education. Under his leadership, the Bank has become one of Nigeria's most recognized SME banks, earning accolades from BusinessDay, KPMG, Asian Bankers, the IFC SME Global Forum, and the Development Bank of Nigeria, among others.
