With over 20 years' experience as a US diplomat, Carol Volk serves as Economic Counselor at the Embassy in Rabat, where she leads a team championing US opportunities for investment and supporting Morocco's digital and renewable energy transitions.

Along with Prosper Africa, she spearheaded the first US-Morocco Venture Capital Forum in May 2024, bringing VC investors together with promising Moroccan startups.

She served as the first Infrastructure Development Chief at the US Department of State from 2022-2023, where she expanded stakeholders in the Blue Dot Network and developed the tool to level the playing field for investors in emerging markets. She previously served as an advisor to the Executive Director of the World Bank, where she supported the creation of a Crisis Response Platform to provide concessional lending to refugee-hosting countries.
